How to add pictures to Selection Album

You're just done with the shoot and want your client to select pictures from the massive dump you have. We know what an hassle this can be. At Premagic, selection gets as easy as it can!

But, How do I upload pictures to Selection Album? Read this article to find out.

You can upload pictures to the selection album from both Web App and Desktop App. However, web app has certain limitations with the number of uploads. It is recommended to do your uploads from the Desktop App.

1. Open your Desktop App → Projects → Select the project

2. Click on Selection Album.

3. All you have to do is click on 'Choose folder' and drag & drop the folder. You can add the parent folder and all the sub folders will get uploaded automatically. This would roughly take a few minutes depending on the number of pictures uploaded.
   
   

   
   

4. You will see a green blinker next to the project name in the projects list. This is to indicate that the upload is happening. Once the blinker stops, it means that the upload is complete.

Once you've made all the necessary changes, you can share the project with you client.

What happens once the client saves the pictures?

On the desktop app, you'll see and option to save once the client has finished selecting and sends it for review.

Click on save photos and you'll see a folder gets created with all the selected photos and a list of all photo number in their respective folders. This can be copied to any photography tool you are using to export the files. 

Things to remember while uploading and saving pictures: 

1. Make sure the backup location is the same as what it was during the time of upload even when saving photos. Incase you've changed the backup location in between, make note of the previous backup location, so that you don't miss data.
   
2. If the client accidentally shared the pictures before saving, you can always give them access to select again. You can enable "Allow Photo Selection" toggle.
